Diego Lopes is one of my favorite fighters as of late. I was fortunate to witness his debut UFC fight in person, and have been a fan of the man ever since.
More than most other fighters, Diego Lopes is most offensively potent in transitions between phases (such as striking or grappling, broadly). This is truly what makes MMA unique, and where I believe most fighters can stand out and find more finishes, as he often does.
How do you see him doing against Brian Ortega this weekend? He tends to do well on short notice (See video).
